The Complete SQL Bootcamp 2021: Go from Zero to Hero is a SQL online course by Jose Portilla. It is available on Udemy.com and usually it costs between $ 15 and $ 100, depending on if it’s on sale or not.

I first came across this course, while checking out Reddit for SQL courses. On this post someone was recommending Jose for learning SQL, especially as a beginner. He got quite a lot of upvotes for that.

Best SQL course acc. Reddit

So let’s check out the first SQL course from Jose.

On the first sight, it’s not a surprise Reddit was recommending it. The stats are pretty incredible. 385,238 students are currently taking this course and guess what the ratings are?

4.7. We all know how hard it is to keep a rating like that on the internet.

What will you get when taking this SQL course?

9-hours of on-demand video, 14 SQL articles and downloadable resources. Oh, and let’s not forget the most important fact. The community. If you are stuck, Jose and the rest will take care of you.

More importantly are the 9-hours of on-demand video. Learning SQL doesn’t take long, but you need enough content to understand databases, tables and fundamentals.

W3schools

W3schools is a simple website where you can learn all the basics for different programming languages. This Reddit user was recommending it for learning SQL.

Back in the day there was a lot of false information on there. Now it’s different. However, many developers still haven’t forgotten all the misinformation.

Reddit's opinion on w3schools

I would say you can go ahead and learn the SQL basics, but you won’t get as far as with an online course. But still, it’s free, so worth trying.

Datacamp

Another name that popped up while doing my SQL research on Reddit was Datacamp. Redditor’s were recommending it a lot.

Reddit’s general opinion is that Datacamp is the perfect resource for beginners and intermediates, and they provide interactive exercises. They also use a lot of real-life projects and you’ll get certification for the courses you’ve completed.

Then I got curious, Datacamp is being recommended a lot for SQL but what about Datacamp in general, is it worth it?

All answers were essentially like this:

datacamp

So, it’s pretty safe to say, Datacamp according to Reddit, is totally worth it. Another great recommendation, if you want to learn SQL in 2021.

That’s it. If I’ve missed something or you have any questions left about SQL courses, you’re welcome to ask your question in the comment section.
