We as LukaszAdam.com are fully committed to maintaining the privacy of any information (‘personal data’) that you provide to us. Furthermore, we commit to ensuring that such data is held securely, used appropriately and only retained for as long as is necessary. Our systems and services are designed with privacy in mind, and we operate a ‘data minimisation’ principle wherever possible – that is to say that we will only ever ask you for the minimum amount of information required to provide our services efficiently; we have no desire to retain (and therefore maintain) any more information than is necessary. We aspire to comply to the fullest extent possible with applicable data protection regulations, in particular the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’) and ePrivacy Directive, where applicable.
When we refer to ‘personal data’ we mean any information that allows us to identify you personally. Obvious examples include your name, email address, postal address etc. When we ask you for this information, we will tell you why we need it and how we will use it. We collect it only with your agreement, for example when you enter your email address to download the free illustrations, or where we have another legal basis, such as needing to answer a message you sent us. We take the security of all personal data very seriously, and that data is protected in a number of ways: Access control: access to personal data is limited to the site owner and is protected by individual user accounts at the providers named above. Secure connection: this website is secured with SSL encryption, which means that all traffic to and from our servers is encrypted. This website is a static website and does not keep a database of personal data on its own server. Email addresses and contact messages are held only by our providers (Netlify and Kit), which apply their own security measures.
When you enter your email address to download the free illustrations, we collect that email address and the time of your request. We use it to give you access to the download and to send you emails about new illustrations. By entering your email address and downloading, you agree to receive these emails. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to sayhi@lukaszadam.com. We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We do not sell your email address.
Email addresses are stored and used for sending emails by our email service provider Kit (kit.com, formerly ConvertKit), which may process your data in the United States. You can read Kit’s privacy policy at kit.com/privacy. Your sign-up is passed to Kit by a small function hosted on Netlify. We do not keep email addresses on the website itself.
When you complete the contact form on our website, we ask you for your name, your email address and your message. This is required for us to respond to your request, and the data will only be used to get in touch with you. The form is provided by our hosting provider Netlify (Netlify Forms), which stores the messages you send. If you do not use the contact form, no data will be collected in that regard.
When you visit our website, our hosting provider Netlify logs your visit in its server logs. This record typically includes the technical ‘IP’ address that is associated with your device and the browser type and version that you are using. Such server logs are common practice, and are used to deliver the website, to monitor technical resources and to detect and prevent malicious or fraudulent activity. We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure and reliable website. We do not use server logs to try to identify you as an individual.
Cookies are small text files placed in the memory of your browser or device when you visit a website. There are several types of cookies: session cookies expire at the end of your browser session; persistent cookies stay on your device between sessions; first-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting; third-party cookies are set by a separate site.
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. When you download the free illustrations, the page remembers this in your browser’s session storage so that the exit popup is not shown again. This information stays on your device and is deleted when you close the tab.

At the time of writing, this website does not use Google Analytics or other third-party analytics or tracking scripts. The fonts on this website are hosted on our own server.
